At the Ulu Ana Foundation, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to pursue their passion—regardless of their background. Our mission is to support young golfers across Hawai‘i by providing access to travel, tournaments, and the resources they need to grow their game. From sponsoring equipment and travel to rebuilding local golf courses, we are committed to creating pathways for youth who would otherwise be left behind. Through annual charity tournaments and generous donations, we’re building a stronger future for junior golf—one swing at a time.

The Founders

Liilen Pereira-Bloede

PGA Professional & Golf Advocate

Born and raised on a ranch just 20 minutes from the Volcano Golf Course on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, Liilen didn’t pick up a golf club seriously until much later in life. But when he did, it changed everything. In 2015, what began as a curiosity quickly became a lifelong passion as he became fully immersed in the game.

Since becoming a PGA member in 2019, Liilen has worked at a variety of golf facilities and contributed to a wide range of programs across the golf industry. His experience spans player development, program coordination, and community engagement—all grounded in his commitment to building meaningful connections through the game.

While Liilen enjoys every aspect of golf, he is especially passionate about competitive play and mentoring junior golfers. Helping young players grow, sharpen their skills, and build confidence reflects the guidance he once received—and for him, there’s nothing more rewarding than the opportunity to pay it forward.
